Just when you thought digital had completely killed off film along comes analogue movies!

Digital certainly makes things easier. I was reminded of that this week during a shoot of the Daily Telegraph's crossword compiler. In ancient days of yore when photographers used film, an image like the one above would probably have been done by a double exposure. That was hit and miss at the best of times. Now it's just a quick layers and blending job, with a bit of bleach bypass thrown in for good measure. No nasty chemicals like potassium ferricyanide to deal with and a much more controllable result ;-)
