Rubber testicles and ferrets

Yes.Thats right. Rubber testicles and ferrets. Bit of an unlikely mix, I know-but I photographed both on the same day last week.
The rubber appendages were at a cancer awareness lecture for sixth form school students and I photographed the mixed reactions of the pupils for The Guardian. One fainted, another left the room in tears and a third asked if I could stop using flash as she suffers from epilepsy. There was very little light in the room, so I chose to shoot photos at the end of the lecture when the girl with the epilepsy had gone-I decided it was much more important for her to attend that lecture than for me to take photos.
The ferrets were for a Sunday Telegraph article about how popular the little animals have become as household pets. I can honestly say I was pretty wary of them-bearing in mind all the tales of them biting people and disappearing up blokes trouser legs!! Fortunately these were very well behaved and I still have all my digits intact.
